South High-Rise

South High Rise renovation and expansion

This project involves extensive renovations to Siebert, Stradley, Park, Smith, and Steeb Halls.  While undergoing one of the largest renovations in Student Life, these building will be completely updated and add two bold additions to the existing buildings which will create a total capacity of 2,483 beds. The additions will connect Stradley/Park Halls and Smith/Steeb Halls, thereby creating two H buildings from four.  This project will strive to attain LEED silver or better certification.  We are also going to use the most efficient Heating and Cooling systems available and 40 % of this will come from Geothermal systems. This system will provide the capacity for additional air conditioning in the future for the other south residential district buildings

We are creating Central Ohio Jobs as well as using as much as possible Ohio materials.

For general questions about this project, please send e-mail to Cihangir Calis, OSU, Project Manager.
